A former middle school employee in Michigan is under arrest on accusations she sent inappropriate messages to a minor over text and social media, according to authorities.
Sue Ann Asch, from Kalkaska, Mich., has been charged with accosting children for immoral purposes, online court records show.
The 79-year-old woman was reported to authorities in September for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor via text and Snapchat, the Michigan State Police tells PEOPLE in a statement.
The alleged victim knew Asch and was interviewed after Asch was reported, authorities said in the statement.
During a search of her home, authorities secured several electronic devices for analysis, per the statement.
Police issued a felony warrant for Asch on Jan. 8 and upon learning about it, Asch turned herself in, authorities said.

Asch is a former employee of the Kalkaska Public Schools and retired in September, the district’s superintendent Rick Heitmeyer told WPBN.
She worked as a paraprofessional at a middle school, he told the outlet.
Her bond has been set at $5,000, per police.
It wasn’t immediately clear if she has entered a plea; attorney information was not available in online court records.
