The title and cover for the highly-anticipated memoir by Lisa Marie Presley, and her daughter Riley Keough, is here.

PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the cover for From Here to the Great Unknown, the forthcoming posthumous memoir from Presley, also written with Keough. The book will be published on Oct. 15 from Random House.

Presley first asked Keough to help her finish her memoir in 2022, per the memoir's description. When Presley died in January 2023 at age 54, Keough was left with the daunting task of how best to complete the book.

Thankfully, Presley had recorded her story on various tapes. Keough listened to stories from her mother’s life, in her own voice, such as smashing golf carts at her childhood home, Graceland, Presley’s long relationship with Keough’s father, musician Danny Keough and her marriage to Michael Jackson.

Presley also spoke of the more difficult moments of her life: losing her father, Elvis Presley, in 1977, moving to Los Angeles with her mother, Priscilla Presley and her experiences with addiction and grief.

Keough took on the task of fulfilling her mother’s wish to share her stories, both joyful and painful. From Here to the Great Unknown is the result of a mother and daughter working together “as they try to heal each other,” per the book’s description.

“Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’s daughter,” Keough previously said, in a statement. “I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one.”

“I’m so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest, and in doing so, I do hope that readers come to love my mom as much as I did,” the Emmy-nominated actress added.

“It’s extremely emotional and also very therapeutic,” she said. “It makes me feel very close to her. So it’s kind of, again, bittersweet and difficult, but also really special.”
