League of Legends (LoL) developer Riot Games announced on Monday (1 November) that they will be hosting a month-long event across all their games to celebrate the premiere of Arcane, the LoL animated series on Netflix releasing on 6 November.

The event, dubbed as the RiotX Arcane event, will see in-person and digital cross-media events that evolve with each act of the series throughout its month-long duration.

RiotX Arcane will be celebrated in LoL as well as its auxiliary titles; the game's mobile port LoL: Wild Rift, digital card game Legends of Runeterra, and auto-battler Teamfight Tactics.

The event is even crossing over to VALORANT, Riot's standalone first-person shooter.

Throughout the RiotX Arcane event, LoL will be releasing free Arcane skins inspired by the show, a variety of thematic updates to Summoner's Rift, Preseason 2022 updates, and two new interactive experiences in the coming week.

Wild Rift will be bringing its players new ways to enjoy the game; bringing two popular champs, daily login rewards, free skins inspired by Arcane, and showcasing Piltover’s most iconic rivalries.

Legends of Runeterra will celebrate with the release of a permanent new game mode that enables players to journey through Runeterra as their favorite champions, including a special series of "storyful adventures" in Piltover and Zaun featuring the cast of Arcane. Teamfight Tactics will get an all-new game mode as well as a surprise addition.

Meanwhile, VALORANT will have Arcane-themed cosmetics and bundles alongside the release of Episode 3 Act 3.

The RiotX Arcane event begins today and will lead into a Super Weekend of events that feature the 2021 League of Legends World Championship grand finals and Arcane Premiere.

This year’s World Championship Show Open Presented by Mastercard will feature Grammy Award-winning artists Imagine Dragons alongside PVRIS, Bea Miller, JID, and Denzel Curry, who will take players and fans on an Arcane-themed journey through Piltover and Zaun, the dual-city setting for Arcane.

The show will be broadcast on lolesports.com, as well as the official LoL YouTube and Twitch channels.

The RiotX Arcane Global Premiere will follow the next day and will be broadcast globally from Riot’s headquarters in Los Angeles.

The global premiere event will feature a red carpet for media and streamers representing over 30 markets around the world to broadcast the celebration to their global communities.

Arcane is the first Netflix series to debut with co-streaming exclusively on Twitch, with content creators on the service able to broadcast themselves watching and reacting to episode one.

"With every new step we take, from launching new games to expanding our esports, we’ve always remained focused on bringing players exciting, resonant content that is authentic to the core League of Legends experience," Nicolo Laurent, Riot Games CEO, said in a press release. "Together with players, we want to establish gaming as the center of global entertainment.”

“To create an experience around the launch of Arcane, we started with our games, the origin of the IP,” said Sarah Schutz, Head of Riot Experience (XP), Riot Games. “We hope we’ve created an event that encourages players to celebrate Arcane in their own unique and meaningful ways, as a global community, in and around the games they love.”

Arcane will be releasing in a series of acts, with each act including three episodes. The first act will release on 6 November, shortly after the grand finals of this year's LoL World Championship.

The second act will then follow on 13 November with the third and final act releasing on 20 November.
