RM500 fine for man who divorced wife in car
Kuala Lumpur, Jan 6 (ANI): A man in Malaysia was fined RM500 by the Syariah Court for divorcing his wife inside a car. Hasbullah Hashim was charged under Section 124 of the Islamic Family Law Act for divorcing outside the court without permission. He faces 10 days in prison if the fine is not settled. According to the Harian Metro, he had lost his temper when he divorced his wife inside a car on his birthday three years ago, Star Online reported. Before passing sentence, Syarie judge Rafidah Abdul Razak advised him to be patient when dealing with problems. (ANI)
