A fan has died after a fall at a Robbie Williams concert in Sydney last week.

A woman in her 70s fell down six rows of seats during the first show of the singer's Australian leg of the tour at Allianz Stadium on November 16.

The fan sustained severe head injuries and was later transported to the hospital, where she was placed in an induced coma. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that the woman had died.

Williams hasn't commented on the incident yet. A stadium spokesperson explained the accident took place at the end of the show, as fans were exiting the venue.

"Rather than use stairs, the woman attempted to step over seating rows. She lost her footing and fell," said the spokesman according to the Sydney Morning Herald's report (via BBC News).

"This is a terribly sad incident and our thoughts and wishes are with the patron and their family during this time."

The pop star features in a Netflix documentary looking back on his 30-year career and directed by Joe Pearlman. Williams is due to play Melbourne tomorrow (November 22).

Last Friday (November 17), a 23-year-old fan died at a Taylor Swift concert in Rio de Janeiro after collapsing in the heat. Ana Clara Benevides Machado was rushed to the hospital where she died of a cardiac arrest.

The singer commented on Machado's death in her Instagram Stories, posting a tribute to her young fan.

"I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this. There's very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young," Swift wrote.

"I'm not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it.

"I want to say now that I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
