Sylvester Stallone – star of Rocky, The Expendables, Rambo, Demolition Man, Cliffhanger, and many more action films – is being immortalised in documentary form on Netflix later this year.

The documentary, titled Sly, isn't out until November, but a teaser trailer has already been released.

As expected by a teaser, we don't get a whole lot here. There's a bit of interview footage mixed in with archive pictures, while the actor provides some nuggets of wisdom.

"Do I have regrets? Hell yeah, I have regrets," he says. "What is healthier? To live under the illusion that you could have been great or have an opportunity to be great and then you blow it and realise you're a failure?"

"If you're ever on a train," he continues, "wham, wham. And that's what your life is. Whoom. Whipping by. It's gone. Filmmaking, it comes at a great price. There's no time for anything else.

"Nothing inspires you more than taking your history, balling it up and [throwing it in a basketball hoop]."

Stallone's documentary follows the release of one chronicling the career and personal highs and lows of another major '80s action star, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Arnie's was released to tie in with the release of FUBAR, his first ever television series (which got renewed for a second season).

While Stallone doesn't have his own TV series coming to Netflix, he's got the crime drama Tulsa King over on Paramount+, which also airs his reality series The Family Stallone. Both have given second seasons.

Of course, there's also the release of the fourth Expendables film, which is set to hit cinemas in September and recently had a trailer drop.

Sly, the Sylvester Stallone documentary, will be released on Netflix in November.
