Roger Kwok clarifies hand paralysis rumour
4 Aug – TVB actor Roger Kwok recently clarified rumours saying that he suffered from hand paralysis while filming for his new series, "Black Heart White Soul".
As reported on Mingpao News, the actor, who recently attended the promotional event for the abovementioned series with co-star Kristal Tin, explained that it was not a new injury like it was reported.
"My character is wheelchair-bound, so I have to control the vehicle with my hands all the time to move to places. Since I already had an old injury from filming in the past, straining myself and pulling a muscle while handling the wheelchair for this role had worsened it," he said.
Roger revealed that he realised he was unable to move his right hand after finishing the drama and went to the doctor to get an X-ray.
"The doctor found out that there was a lot of pressure on my nerves. I didn't even tell my wife as I was afraid that she would get worried. But I am okay now, after a month of acupuncture treatment," said the actor.
