Ruco Chan, Charmaine Sheh win TV King and Queen
13 Oct – Singapore's Starhub TVB Awards 2014 has recently closed its curtain with Ruco Chan and Charmaine Sheh reigning as the new TV King and Queen.
The two stars defeated other nominees, including Linda Chung and Roger Kwok, to win My Favourite TVB Male and Female Actors at the event that was held on 11 October at Marina Bay Sands.
Charmaine, who made her TVB comeback and won the award through "Line Walker", thanked everybody for the support given to her, and expressed her happiness, saying that all the hard work she put into the series has paid off.
When asked if she was confident that this would be the first of more TV Queen accolades to come this year, including at the TVB Anniversary Awards this November, the actress replied, "We won't know it until the very last minute, but I am confident."
Meanwhile, the dark horse of the TV King's race, Ruco Chan, who won for his role in "Ruse of Engagement", admitted his delight at winning the award, and will not dwell on the competition at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards.
And while neither Roger Kwok nor Kristal Tin won the coveted awards for their performances in "Black Heart, White Soul", both shared the award for My Favourite TVB On-screen Couple, while the series itself won My Favourite TVB Drama.
