Russia says more than 2,000 militants massed in northern Aleppo

MOSCOW (Reuters) - More than 2,000 militants have gathered in northern Aleppo, the Russian ceasefire-monitoring centre in Syria said on Saturday. "More than 2,000 militants from different terrorist organisations and groups of the so-called 'moderate opposition' are concentrated in the region of Sheikh Maqsoud," the centre said in a statement.
