Russian allegations about Ryzhivka vilage seizure are a part of their psychological operation aimed at misleading and demoralizing people in Ukraine, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andriy Demchenko told in a TV interview on June 13.

Ukrainian Defense Forces manage to maintain full control over the situation there.

"Russian activities in Sumy front are not as intense as in Kharkiv Oblast," Demchenko said.

Ryzhivka is located right next to the border, therefore, it could pose significant risks to Ukrainian soldiers if they were deployed there.

"The defense is structured so that the village remains in the 'grey zone,' but Ukrainian soldiers continue to monitor the area, using the drones," he added.
