Russians voted most irritating tourists in European poll

Perceived as "noisy" and "rude" on vacation, Russians are not highly considered by their European neighbors, who have chosen them as "most annoying tourists of the year."

Holidays are full of opportunities for meeting people from other horizons -- which can add to the joy of the travel experience but also the stress of it. Holiday review site Zoover surveyed 12,000 tourists from 20 European countries to find out which nationalities were seen as most annoying in the holiday setting.

And the result is clear: Russians are seen as the most irritating tourists with 42 percent of respondents citing them. They were described as "noisy", "rude" and "ill-mannered."

Second place went to Germans at 17 percent followed by the British with 13 percent.

Meanwhile, the poll, which took into account 13 nationalities, found that Austrians (0%), Belgians (1%), Scandinavians and Greeks (both 2%) were considered to be least annoying.
