Ryan Reynolds Makes Surprise Appearance in Audience of “The View” with His Mom: 'This Is Way Less Stressful'

About halfway through the latest episode of the morning talk show, host Whoopi Goldberg called out the Deadpool actor, 47, for sitting in the crowd with his mother, Tammy Reynolds for the show’s taping.
Goldberg, 68, had said that the talk show can be unpredictable. “Sometimes you look up and you go, ‘Oh, this is really great.’ And then you look over and you go, ‘Oh snap, there’s Ryan Reynolds!’” she said, as Ryan waved from the crowd.

“My mom is here visiting her grandkids. And yesterday she said, ‘It’s my dream to go to The View.’ And I said, well, first off, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of. Unspeakable violence, my whole life,” he continued joking.

The Spirited actor then said that he “made a call” as “Blake’s husband,” referring to his famous wife Blake Lively, asking to come to the show. “And here we are. I think my mom might have thought she was going to be on The View maybe, I’m not sure.” Tammy laughed in response and shook her head.
The mom of four told the hosts that she watches The View every day and was recording it at home in Vancouver.
The hosts responded by telling her she’s welcome any time, and that Ryan needs to bring Lively, 36, on as well.

"Oh my God!" he said, as the Reynolds' waved to him from the crowd. "I know her!" Koy, 53, then said, flipping the joke around to Reynolds' mom. "Vancouver! She came to my show!"
The episode ended with Reynolds' mom throwing out the show's iconic "Take a little time to enjoy The View" closing line, while sitting in Goldberg's moderator chair alongside the EGOT winner.
The View airs on weekdays at 11 a.m. on ABC.
