Ryan Reynolds is back in prosthetics as Deadpool!

The actor, 47, was seen wearing the characters' famous scarred face on the set of Deadpool 3 on Jan. 22. as he was joined by costar Hugh Jackman for the final days of filming the hotly-anticipated movie, set for release this summer.

Reynolds also sported Deadpool's red costume for the event while Jackman, 55, wore Wolverine's yellow suit on location in the south of England.

Deadpool's facial scarring is the result of an experimental cancer treatment undertaken by Reynold's character Wade Wilson in the first movie of the franchise. The dangerous and painful treatment unlocked his superhero powers but also left him scarred from head-to-toe.

Jackman, meanwhile, posted a heartfelt message as he shared a photo of himself having Wolverine's trademark sideburns shaved off as he sat in a dressing room.

“What a ride! I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well … not the 4a training or the steamed fish and veg 4 x a day for 6 months but the other 93.2%,” the actor wrote in the caption.

“A collective thank you to the entire cast and crew. You are all aces! If you’re reading this and think I mean you, I do. To two of my best mates @vancityreynolds and @slevydirect I literally couldn’t have done this without you. LITERALLY! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave.”

In October 2022, Jackman said ahead of filming the third Deadpool sequel with Reynolds that he’ll “probably have more fun on this movie than any other I've ever done.”

Jackman told PEOPLE at the time, "I think being on set with [Ryan] every day and those two on film in every city together everyday … I think it's fair to say they'll be punching the s--- out of each other the whole time.”
