Ryan Serhant Leads a Fresh Set of ‘Cutthroat’ N.Y.C. Agents in Netflix’s “Owning Manhattan” — Watch the Trailer! (Exclusive)

PEOPLE got an exclusive first look at the new real estate drama premiering June 28

Ryan Serhant is introducing a whole new level of real estate drama to the Netflix reality scene!

The SERHANT founder, 39, stars in the all-new Netflix docuseries dropping on June 28 called Owning Manhattan. PEOPLE got a first look at the adrenaline-filled trailer, which introduces Serhant’s New York City agents who are willing to do whatever it takes to close the deal.

“After selling real estate for 12 years, I decided to start my own company,” Serhant says in the above clip. He adds firmly, “And if you can’t sell, you can’t be here.”

Viewers then get a glimpse of some of the agents as they take Manhattan by storm.

“The real estate business in New York is cutthroat,” one agent explains, followed by another adding, “Confidence is my middle name."

Serhant adds with a shrug, “These new agents are just different.”

Viewers also get a sneak peek at the world’s highest and “most expensive apartment in the world” listed for $250 million.

The camera cuts to Serhant standing in the luxurious property as he tells his agents: “The first one to get it sold — you’re going to get $10 million. So it’s time to step up and sell.”

Later in the trailer, viewers catch a glimpse of Serhant juggling family life while also managing his role as CEO. The real estate mogul shares daughter Zena with wife Emilia Bechrakis Serhant.

“This city will give you everything, and also, take away everything,” he tells his agents.

Though this is the first Netflix reality drama based on a New York City brokerage, Serhant has been dominating the real estate scene for over a decade.

He starred in Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York for 10 years before leaving the show in 2022 to focus on SERHANT, his firm that he launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also hosted the 2018 Bravo series Sell It Like Serhant, in which he helped salespeople across the country improve their skills so they wouldn’t lose their jobs.

Throughout his career, Serhant has sold over $8 billion in real estate. He currently manages 600 agents at his brokerage and sells luxury properties both internationally and in over eight states.

Owning Manhattan is following in the footsteps of Netflix’s other beloved real estate dramas, such as Selling Sunset, Selling the O.C., Buying Beverly Hills and Selling Tampa. In May, the streaming company released a U.K.-based series called Buying London, which follows the competitive agents of Daniel Daggers’ independent agency, DDRE Global.

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in August 2023, Serhant opened up about how shows like Selling Sunset are paving the way for a new genre of reality television.

"What I love is what it's really done for the genre," he says of Selling Sunset. "I think shows have to evolve, think genres have to evolve, attention spans evolve, the way people consume content evolves, and I think it's fun. Very different from anything that we've ever created, but I think it's fun, and I am excited to see what else everybody creates going forward, like, what does real estate reality look like next year?"

Owning Manhattan premieres June 28 on Netflix.
