Rylan announces new BBC podcast series following Strictly exit
Presenter Rylan Clark has confirmed a brand new BBC project following his exit from Strictly: It Takes Two.
The star announced last month that he would be departing the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off series, saying the "time has come for [him] to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for [him]".
It's now been revealed that Rylan will front a new podcast series for the broadcaster called How to Be a Man, which will see him trace the "fault lines of modern masculinity" through a series of conversations with celebrities and prominent figures.

Set to debut on BBC Sounds on May 9 and BBC Radio 4 on May 18, the series takes stock of the rise of controversial figures in recent years, raising the "poignant" conversation around masculinity today.
"Throughout the series, Rylan explores everything from toxic masculinity to old-fashioned male stereotypes, gender identity and body image, role models and cultural differences, parenthood, and how we might educate the next generation," the synopsis reads.
"A gifted interviewer, Rylan is not afraid to ask the big questions and taps into some of his guests’ deepest vulnerabilities, buoyed by his infectious sense of humour."

Guests on the show will include Strictly winner Hamza Yassin, trans man and activist Freddy McConnell, Jake Daniels (the first openly gay professional footballer), comedian Phil Wang, Changing Rooms' Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Loose Women's Janet Street-Porter.
Also on board are I'm a Celebrity's Amir Khan, school teacher and CBBC presenter Kit Brown and the first triple amputee from Afghanistan, Mark Ormrod.
“I’m looking forward to chatting to a bunch of interesting people about what it means to be a modern man," Rylan said. "From the old-fashioned stereotypes to gender identity, I hope people find these conversations interesting, insightful and perhaps even useful.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
