Sabrina Carpenter Revealed How Taylor Swift Really Felt About Her Skims Campaign

"I’ve been very, very communicative with her."

Despite any lingering beef between Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian—Swift clearly still harbors some feelings about the matter, evident by her new song "thanK you aIMee"—the pop star isn't bothered by her friends being in Skims campaigns. After Swift's besties Lana del Ray, Brittany Mahomes, and Sabrina Carpenter all posed for Kardashian's shapewear brand, Swifties wondered how the singer would react. But in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Carpenter shut down any rumors that Swift was angry or hurt by the photo shoots.

"As much as people want to believe you’re tuned into every little thing, I’m not because I’m constantly working," she said ('cause she's a singer), referring to Kardashian and Swift's feud. "In that scenario, I’ve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end."

Carpenter added that even though she knew the internet would have some thoughts, she didn't feel weird about signing on for the shoot: “So, it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that’s all they have time to do.”

Elsewhere in the story, Carpenter, who is a longtime fan of Swift, praised her friend for all of her success and opened up about their friendship and working relationship. Carpenter opened up for Swift's Eras Tour in Mexico City, South America, Australia, and Singapore, and she's also accompanied Swift during a few girls' nights out, including a Kansas City Chiefs v. New York Jets game last October.

“I hold her to such a different echelon,” she said of Swift's career. “I could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she’s done.”

“We’re very, very verbal with each other about our mutual love and admiration," she continued, before sharing that she got a sneak peek at Swift's The Tortured Poets Department album. "She played me ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ before it came out, and that’s also one of my favorites.”

She added, “She always puts out music at a time where I didn’t realize I needed those songs,”
