Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson has praised girlfriend Zara McDermott as "unstoppable" ahead of her Strictly Come Dancing journey.

The TV personality was recently confirmed for this year's line-up of the BBC One dancing series, becoming the first Love Island star to compete on the show.

Speaking to the Daily Star about his other half, Sam said: "Zara handles pressure. She's cool. Zara's worked so hard that nothing, I don't think, will ever faze her. I genuinely don't.

"I think that whatever gets put in Zara's way in her life... I'm lucky enough to have been with her for four and a bit years now and when she puts her mind to something, she's absolutely unstoppable," he added.

"I haven't seen anything faze her yet."

Speaking when she was announced for the show, Zara said: "I am so excited to be joining the world of Strictly! I grew up watching it every year with my nan and she was the biggest Strictly fan. We would dance around the house and I have such fond memories of that time in my life.
