Sarah Paulson leads guest stars in Donald Glover's Mr & Mrs Smith show
American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson has been confirmed as a guest star for Donald Glover's upcoming TV show, Mr & Mrs Smith.
The Prime Video series is a remake of the 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, with Glover and Maya Erskine now in the roles of the titular spies.
As per Variety, Paulson is leading a stacked roster of guest stars, with the American Crime Story star being joined by Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, Billy Campbell and Úrsula Corberó.

The group will also star alongside Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Parker Posey and Wagner Moura, who had already been announced as guest stars. Glover has created the series with Atlanta's Francesca Sloane, with the series consisting of eight episodes.
"Two lonely strangers land jobs working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan," reads the logline for the series. "The catch? New identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith.
"Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high-risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What's riskier: espionage or marriage?"

The first trailer for the series was released on December 8, with the teaser promising a mix of action, comedy and romance as the titular couple come closer together. The plot seems to differ slightly from the film, which saw both spies assigned to kill the other.
The series was originally meant to star Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Erskine's role, but the actor subsequently left the project due to creative differences. Glover later addressed Waller-Bridge's departure, saying: "I still like her, I assume she still likes me."
Mr and Mrs Smith will premiere on Prime Video on February 2, 2024.
