Satellite images reveal damage from attack on occupiers’ communication point in Alushta

Satellite images showing the aftermath of a May 23 missile attack on a strategic Russian military facility in temporarily occupied Alushta have appeared on social media, published by the Telegram channel of Radio Svoboda.

They show that the rocket attack resulted in at least four hits.

"Photos from space show locations where rockets likely struck. Unlike many other similar cases, the authorities of the occupied peninsula admitted that several Ukrainian missiles hit targets on the ground," said journalists commenting on the published photos. However, the Russian "head of Crimea," Sergey Aksyonov, wrote on Telegram that an "empty commercial object" was hit.

The Ukrainian side has not yet officially commented on the rocket attack. The target was the FSB border service contact point in the village of Semidvirya, according to some sources.
