Satellite Images Show Scale of Destruction Across Northern Gaza

Satellite imagery contrasting views over northern Gaza on dates in May of this year and after Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel show the destruction wrought by Israel’s military response.

The images, released by Maxar Technologies, show flattened buildings in Beit Hanoun, Al Karameh, Izbat Beit Hanoun, and Atatra.

Israel said its tanks had crossed into Gaza overnight on October 25-26 in preparation for a ground invasion.

Speaking on October 25 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had already killed “thousands of terrorists” in its airstrikes and that preparations continued for a ground invasion. Credit: ©2023 Maxar Technologies via Storyful
