Saweetie didn’t realize her food “concoctions” weren’t “normal” until she began posting them online.

The “Icy Grl” rapper, 30, is known for creative food combinations — like ranch-topped spaghetti and oysters in honey BBQ sauce — that always seem to send social media into a frenzy. She credits having “young parents” for her unconventional palate.

“Honestly, I get a lot of the concoctions from my dad because, as a young dad, he would make me spreads,” Saweetie tells PEOPLE. “He would make me these cool ‘Scooby-Doo’ sandwiches with a whole bunch of chips, fries, however he wanted to make it.”

“But I've always just had a love for concoctions and for tasting new foods,” she adds. “I'm a really big foodie.”

Her passion project is now a professional one, too — Saweetie teamed up with The Boiling Crab and Postmates to bring a new “dining experience” to homes across America just in time for the summer.

Per a press release, the Hot Mess, described as a seafood feast “unlike any other,” invites customers to try new meal options inspired by Saweetie’s “hot mess” tastebuds — at a discounted price.

The Hot Mess ($50), The Bigger Hot Mess ($80) and The Biggest Hot Mess ($120) each include a combination of snow crab, shrimp, corn, andouille sausage and fries (plus fried shrimp, steamed rice and clams in two different portions for the more expensive options). They are available exclusively for delivery from Postmates from eight Los Angeles locations and others nationwide now through July 7.

Saweetie tells PEOPLE that her new partnership was largely inspired by The Boiling Crab being among her “most frequent” orders on Postmates.

“I just love seafood,” she says. “My earliest memory of seafood is going to the seafood market with my mom's mom or my mom — they’re Asian, so you know Asians love their supermarkets.”

“We would bring home the live crab, put it in boiling water, cook it and eat it with some rice,” the Bay Area native continues. “So the little girl in me is just so excited and so happy to be collaborating with a business that I really love.”

Saweetie, who’s coming off the release of her summertime single “Nani,” says that “at this point in my career, I'm not doing things for financial benefit. I'm doing things out of passion. It's always a special moment when you're able to do business with people who you share a common interest [with]; in this case, it’s seafood.”

It's also great timing. “The fact that it's dropping the day of Cancer season, and I'm a Cancer (my sign is a crab), it just feels so aligned and so in sync with everything that's going on for me right now,” the “Richtivities” rapper adds, “especially with just having new music out.”

“Having good music, good food, I felt just so special and lucky right now."
