Scarlett Johansson dressed to impress at the premiere of her new film Fly Me to the Moon.

For the Monday, July 8 screening in New York City, the 39-year-old actress wore not one but two stunning ensembles that scream summer.

Johansson appeared on the red carpet at AMC's Lincoln Square Theater in a tan-and-cream gingham sleeveless crop top with beaded trim and a matching high-waisted skirt. A tiny sliver of her midriff was visible, revealing part of a tattoo on her rib. She accessorized the Prada look with simple circular earrings.

The actress' hair, styled by David von Cannon, was swept into a chic French twist with face-framing wisps and added volume at the crown of her head, perhaps a nod to the film's 1960s setting. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo created a soft glam makeup look for the star, featuring a subtle smoky eye and a pop of pink lip color. On Instagram, Vanngo shared that he used products from Johansson's skincare brand The Outset to prep her skin before makeup.

Johansson walked the red carpet with her husband Colin Jost, who wore a navy suit and blue printed floral shirt with a wide collar. The actress and Jost, 42, got married in 2020 and share one child together.

Ahead of the screening, Johansson spoke to PEOPLE about a conspiracy theory that intrigues her.

"I don't know. I'm so not a conspiracy theorist. I'm like, I really believe in science," she shared. "I don't know. I think probably that Dolly Parton has full tattooed sleeves."

She then added, "Is it real? We'll find out."

Fly Me to the Moon, which also stars Channing Tatum, is inspired by the Apollo 11 moon landing and the belief that it was staged by the U.S. government. Johansson, who is also a producer on the film, portrays Kelly Jones, a member of NASA's marketing team tasked with rehabilitating the agency's public image. Tatum plays launch director Cole Davis.

In a previous conversation with PEOPLE, the actress described her character as a "very modern woman living in a time where women were often underestimated."

"She uses that to her advantage and is always a few steps ahead," she said, adding that the film is "totally original."

"It’s not derivative of anything else, it doesn’t follow a formula," Johansson continued. "I think audiences haven’t been offered a big-idea movie that is both funny and poignant and original in a long time, and they are hungry for that. The film is totally entertaining and fresh. I’m very proud of it for its newness and scope."
