SEA Games Esports Day 4: Thailand leads in PUBG Mobile Individual tournament
The fourth day of the 2022 Hanoi Southeast Asian Games esports event on Monday (16 May) saw the individual tournament for PUBG Mobile kick off.
The PUBG Mobile event was split into individual and team tournaments. The individual tournament will take place from 16 to 17 May and features a total of 51 players from host country Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The players will compete in five matches per day to earn points that will go toward their placement in the tournament.
After five matches, Thailand’s Phuwiwat "GodTunny" Tanee led the field with 66 points and 11 kills. Laos’ HONDA sits in second place with 54 points and 11 kills while fellow Laotian Porza followed closely behind with 53 points and 7 kills.

Esports Medal tally
Thailand leads the Hanoi Southeast Asian Games esports event with three medals; one gold, one silver, and one bronze.
Indonesia and Vietnam sit in second place with two medals apiece, both having one gold and one silver. Malaysia and Singapore are tied in third with one bronze medal each.
Meanwhile, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos remain without a medal in the esports event.

The esports event at the 2021 Hanoi Southeast Asian Games will take place at Hanoi's National Convention Center from 13 to 22 May.
The event will feature ten esports competitions: League of Legends, Men's and Women's League of Legends: Wild Rift, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Individual and team PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, Free Fire, Cross Fire, and FIFA Online 4.
