The seventh day of the 2022 Hanoi Southeast Asia Games esports event on Thursday (19 May) saw Mobile Legends move into its medal matches while PUBG Mobile’s team tournament wrapped up its qualifier rounds.
Singapore took the bronze medal for Mobile Legends while the Philippines and Indonesia will face off in the gold medal match.
Meanwhile, Indonesia is also leading in PUBG Mobile's group competition.
With the conclusion of the Mobile Legends group stage, the top two seeds from each group now moved onto the semifinals.
To that end, the Philippines dominated Singapore in a 2-1 win while Indonesia swept Malaysia, 2-0. As a result, the Philippines will be facing off against Indonesia for the gold medal.
Meanwhile, their losses dropped Singapore and Malaysia into the bronze medal match, where the former emerged victorious in a 2-1 series to claim the bronze.

PUBG Mobile Group tournament
PUBG Mobile also held its group tournament qualifiers on Thursday, determining the top 16 teams that will move onto the final stage over the course of 5 matches.
Indonesia 2 dominated at the top spot with a total of 65 points and 29 kills, while Vietnam 1 followed closely at second place, finishing with 58 points and 29 kills. Finally, Malaysia 1 sits at third place, having earned 55 points and 24 kills.
With only 10 points and 6 kills, Laos 2 gets eliminated from the tournament, leaving the remaining 16 to advance onto the finals.

The only new medal addition from Thursday’s results was another bronze for Singapore, who finished third in Mobile Legends.
Thailand still leads the Hanoi Southeast Asian Games esports with five medals — one gold, one silver, and three bronze.
Vietnam and Indonesia remain in second place with two medals apiece, with Vietnam having two gold and one silver while Indonesia has one gold and two silver.

The esports event at the 2021 Hanoi Southeast Asian Games is taking place at Hanoi's National Convention Center from 13 to 22 May.
The event will feature ten esports competitions: League of Legends, Men's and Women's League of Legends: Wild Rift, Mobile Legends, Individual and team PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, Free Fire, Cross Fire, and FIFA Online 4.
