Amid the intense sporting competition at the SEA Games 2017, Malaysian netizens have found themselves gripped by another type of buzz: a female police officer who has set hearts aflutter online.

Her picture was published in a tweet by BH Online on Saturday (19 August), which showed officers from the Special Task Force On Organised Crime on patrol around various parts of Kuala Lumpur.

As of Monday afternoon the tweet had received 1,066 likes, 1,788 retweets and 35 comments – most of which centred on the officer’s good looks.

“I wouldn’t mind to take a urine test. I’d surely test positive for love,” said twitter user Burhan in Malay.

“I wouldn’t mind being body searched. You would surely find my heart,” said user Luqman al zauj in a separate tweet in Malay.

While many joked online about whether the officer was actually a model – and about how they would become criminals just to be caught by her – others were more skeptical.

“I don’t believe someone with her face would be in the special police. I think she’s an actor,” said twitter user A. Ds in Malay.
