‘SEAL Team’ Star David Boreanaz to Head Fiction Jury at Monte-Carlo Television Festival

U.S. actor and producer David Boreanaz, star of hit series “Bones,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel” and “SEAL Team,” will serve as president of the fiction jury for the Golden Nymph Awards at the 63rd Monte-Carlo Television Festival, which takes place June 14-18.

He will be joined by fiction jury members Piv Bernth, CEO, executive and creative producer of Apple Tree Productions in Denmark; Teresa Fernandez Valdes, producer and CEO of Te Espero en Marte in Spain; Claire Mundell, producer, creative director and founder of Synchronicity Films in the U.K.; Danish actor Ulrich Thomsen and Noor Sadar, producer and CEO of White Lion Films, a subsidiary of Mediawan in France.

Steve Anderson, U.K.-based journalist, executive producer and former controller of news and current affairs at ITV, is president of the news and documentaries jury. Members of this jury include Chiara Avesani, director and journalist with Rai 3 in Italy; Martina Šantavá, creative producer at Ceska Televise in Czech Republic; André Carvalho Ramos, a journalist and presenter at CNN in Portugal and Yann-Anthony Noghès, a producer at Check Productions in Monaco.

The Business Content program for this year’s festival has also been announced.

The panel discussions will consider subjects such as “Conversation With a TV Titan – Dan Cohen,” “The Rebirth of Content Creation and Production Following the 2023 Strikes,” “Bringing the World to Light Through TV Drama,” “New Formats, Genres & Focus on Local TV Platformization,” “How AI Tools Can Help With Creation and Distribution,” “New Narratives for Documentaries: The Blur Between Reality and Fiction,” “The Value of Marketing in Television,” “Being a Producer: How Do They Manage Ever Increasing Responsibilities?” and “What’s New in International Co-Pros?”

Confirmed contributors include Dan Cohen, chief content licensing officer at Paramount and president of Republic Pictures; Lori McCreary, CEO at Revelations Entertainment; Leslie Greif, CEO and executive producer, Big Dreams Entertainment and Remi Tereszkiewicz, CEO at Betaseries.
