Sean 'Diddy' Combs faces second sexual assault suit

STORY: Hip hop mogul Sean Combs - also known as Diddy - has been sued again for sexual misconduct – the second such lawsuit in the past week.

Thursday's filing in a New York court alleges that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted a university student in 1991.

The complaint comes ahead of the expiry of a special one-year window under the New York state’s Adult Survivors Act, which allows lawsuits to be filed even if the statute of limitations have run out.

Combs' accuser, Joi Dickerson-Neal, says she was visiting New York when the alleged incident happened.

The 54-year-old is also accused of videotaping the alleged crime and distributing the video to others in the music industry.

Lawyers for Dickerson-Neal said the assault and public exposure of it had caused her feelings of humiliation, embarrassment and violation.

She is seeking unspecified compensatory damages for mental and emotional injury, distress, pain and suffering and injury to her reputation, according to the lawsuit.

Comb’s spokesperson said Dickerson-Neal's story is “made up and not credible” and “purely a money grab and nothing more.”

The complaint against Combs comes a week after he settled a lawsuit by his former girlfriend, R&B vocalist Cassandra Ventura.

Ventura, who performs under the stage name Cassie, accused Combs of physical abuse, sexual slavery and rape.

Combs is the founder of Bad Boy Records and is one of the most influential producers and executives in hip hop.
