Sean Rodriguez Marquette, Diana Maria Riva & Kimia Behpoornia Join ABC Comedy Pilot ‘Forgive & Forget’

EXCLUSIVE: ABC’s multi-cam comedy pilot Forgive & Forget has added Sean Rodriguez Marquette (The Goldbergs), Diana Maria Riva (Dead to Me, The Gordita Chronicles) and Kimia Behpoornia (Abbott Elementary) to its leading cast. The project comes from Punky Brewster duo Eugene Garcia-Cross and Robin Shorr.

The show, which comes from 20th Television, follows the perennial life of the party Hank (Ty Burrell). After an unexpected diagnosis, Hank reconnects with his responsible adult son Ben (Rodriguez Marquette) in hopes of making new memories together.

Rodriguez Marquette will play Ben, Hank’s responsible adult son. After Hank receives an unexpected diagnosis, Ben reconnects with his father in hopes of making new memories together. Riva will play Maria, Hank’s lively ex-wife and Ben’s nostalgic and affectionate mom. Behpoornia will play Izzy, Hank’s confident and blunt memory care therapist.

Garcia-Cross will write with Shorr as the showrunner. They will executive produce alongside Burrell via his Desert Whale Productions banner.

Most recently, Rodriguez Marquette portrayed Johnny Atkins in the hit ABC comedy The Goldbergs from Season 3 until the show concluded last year after 10 seasons. He also notably portrayed the younger version of Mark Ruffalo’s 13 Going On 30 character Matty. Rodriguez Marquette is repped by Bleecker Street Entertainment, CESD Talent and GGSSC.

Riva most recently starred in Netflix’s hit series Dead to Me as Detective Ana Perez and Cucu’s mom Adela in the fan-favorite series The Gordita Chronicles. She appeared in NBC’s Lopez vs. Lopez as Olga, the perfect foe for George Lopez’s character George, and Det. Helen Brock in the CBS hit series Tracker. She is repped by Gateway Management Company, The Kohner Agency and Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg.

Behpoornia can currently be seen recurring on the Emmy-winning ABC series Abbott Elementary. Prior credits include the NBC multi-cam Abby’s, Freeform’s Good Trouble, HBO’s Hack and Hulu’s Reboot. Credits on the features side include My Divorce Party and The Unicorn Store directed by Brie Larson. Behpoornia is repped by LB Talent Agency, Seven Summits Management and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis
