Search under way as man reported missing from boat

Emergency services are looking for a man reported missing from a motorboat.

The coastguard is leading the search at Derwentwater in Cumbria, after the alarm was raised at 01:40 BST.

A spokesman said: "An HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter has been sent, as well as coastguard rescue teams from Burgh by Sand, Maryport and Whitehaven."

They added police, the fire service, Maryport Inshore Rescue and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team had also been alerted.
