Secondary 3 students invited to NDP National Education shows in 2024 and 2025 after missing out due to COVID-19 restrictions

Invitations will be sent to parents of current secondary three students through MOE's Parents Gateway portal between 20 and 21 March

SINGAPORE — Students who missed out on attending the National Day Parade (NDP) National Education (NE) Shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic will have the opportunity to attend the shows in 2024 and 2025.

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) announced on Monday (18 March) that this invitation extends to current Secondary three students in Ministry of Education (MOE) institutions, and those who will be in Secondary three in 2025.

According to a media release by MINDEF, these students belong to the Primary 5 cohorts who were unable to attend the shows in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic-related restrictions.

Invitations will be sent to the parents of current Secondary Three students through MOE's Parents Gateway portal between 20 and 21 March. They can select one of three NE shows scheduled for this year on 6 July, 13 July, or 20 July.

To apply for a ticket, they must indicate their interest in attending a show by 27 March.

Parents of future Secondary Three students to receive invitations in 2025

Parents of students who will be in Secondary three next year will receive their letters in 2025.

The ministry said that NE shows have been a significant part of students' collective NE learning experience since 1997.

It added, "This experience aims to celebrate Singapore's progress as a nation and deepen our youths' appreciation of the Singaporean identity."
