Selena Li cherishes Liza Wang's compliments

6 Jul - Playing a character in the new TVB drama, "Master of Destiny", is no easy feat but TVB actress Selena Li revealed that getting the approval from veteran actress Liza Wang herself made all the efforts worthwhile.

According to On CC News, the actress, who is playing the younger version of Liza's character in the Wong Jing produced series, revealed that her character spends a lot of time crying after losing her husband and raising her children all alone.

"I spent 16 hours of my day every day crying until my eyes get swollen. With the summer heat going on, it was physically draining as well," she said.

However, at the end of the day, Liza's compliments made it feel it was all worth it.

"I was so happy when she praised me three times. She said I was able to portray the character's emotions. I was so touched by her praises that I wanted to cry again!" she said.

Selena admitted that getting the approval from her senior was like winning the lottery, and hopes to work with Liza again in the future.

"I am now more pressured to do better after getting her compliments," she added.
