“Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn’s husband requests restraining order against her after his 2 arrests

Christian Dumontet was previously booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, and violating Quinn’s emergency protective order against him.

Christine Quinn’s husband, Christian Dumontet, has filed a request for a restraining order against the Selling Sunset star, days after his arrest for violating her own emergency protective order against him.

Following a March 19 incident, Dumontet was arrested and charged after allegedly throwing a bag that contained a glass bottle at Quinn, which instead hit their young son, Christian Georges. In a copy of Dumontet’s request, obtained by PEOPLE, he refutes this version of events and denies that there have ever been “incidents of domestic violence within the relationship.”

With his filing, Dumontet also asks that Quinn move out of his Los Angeles home and stay 100 yards (300 feet) from the property. He is also asking that the judge restrict Quinn’s travel with their child to L.A. county, citing his fears that she may “abduct” their son. He claims that she “has a history of threatening to take away or hide our children from me” and “not cooperating with me in parenting.”

The filing requests that Quinn have joint custody of Christian and unmonitored visitation rights, though Dumontet asks that she provide all travel plans and documents for their child.

In his filing, Dumontet claims that the couple’s argument stemmed from an issue with Quinn’s two dogs, "which she refuses to have house or crate trained." Per the documents, “Mr. Dumontet constantly finds himself the only one cleaning up after the dogs, so much so that operating and cleaning the remote vacuum cleaner has become a bonding activity between himself and 3-year-old Christian.”

Dumontet claims that on the day of his arrest, he refused to clean up after her dogs. “At that point Mr. Dumontet grabbed the trash bag from the floor and threw it to the side of the room, against the wall,” according to the documents. “Mr. Dumontet did not throw the bag towards Ms. Quinn, or their son. Additionally, there was no glass in the bag, as there was no broken glass in the room or anywhere in the house.”

Following their dispute, Dumontet was arrested and booked on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly harming their toddler with a glass bottle. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed his arrest to Entertainment Weekly, alleging, “The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury."

Dumontet was arrested again the next day on a charge of violating an emergency protective order filed by Quinn. In his filing, he alleges that Quinn “suddenly filed an EPO (emergency protection order) against me using false allegations of domestic violence.”

Reps for Dumontet did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

The reality star and real estate agent first introduced Dumontet to Netflix’s Selling Sunset in 2020, following their 2019 wedding. They welcomed their first and only child together in May 2021. She exited the series ahead of its sixth season and, with her husband, launched a bitcoin-centric real estate company called Real Open.
