Serangoon Road accident leaves 1 dead, 2 injured; driver arrested

A traffic accident that took place along Serangoon Road on Saturday (2 December) night left one motorcyclist dead and two pedestrians injured.

According to the police, the accident – involving a lorry and a motorcycle – occurred at 7.47pm at the junction of Serangoon Road and Race Course Lane. A 23-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Both pedestrians were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, one of whom was unconscious at the time.

The police added that the a 36-year-old male lorry driver was arrested for causing death by rash act and that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
