After a long wait, Severance has received the first teaser trailer for its highly anticipated second season. The critically acclaimed Apple TV+ show initially premiered in 2022 and left fans on a cliffhanger that will have taken almost three years to resolve when the season premieres on January 17, 2025.

The trailer teases fans of what's to come but keeps its cards to its chest. The trailer starts with the main characters heading back down into the underground office for more chaos to ensue. Quick flashes of never-before-seen parts of the office and action shots tease a thrilling season. A glimpse of the antagonist Harmony Cobel (played by Patrica Arquette) can also be spotted. The trailer ends with a look at Gwendoline Christie’s new character who ominously declares, “You should have left.”

Apple teased what’s to come in a statement, “Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.”

The first season was met with much fanfare as viewers took to the mysterious premise of office workers who have their memories split so they can’t remember their home life out of work and vice versa. Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry and John Turturro all starred in the first season and have returned for the upcoming second installment.
