Shaun Wallace has joined the cast of adult pantomime 'Jack And His Giant Bigstalk'.

The 'Chase' quizzer will appear in the former 'Big Brother' star Simon Gross' panto for a performance on December 11th.

Simon will portray Queen Genetalia in the adult show, which is on at The Prince of Wales on London's Drury Lane from December 8th to 22nd.

Kitty Hosty also appears in the panto, as Jill, while Lewis Adey plays Jack, and Monroe Adams takes on the role of Fairy Barbie.

Joseph Greenwood has been cast in the role of Daisy the Cow and Tom White will portray Dame Trott in the upcoming production.

In August, Shaun told how he doesn't take 'The Chase' for granted.

He has served as a quizzer on the hit ITV teatime gameshow alongside the likes of Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Mark Labbett since 2009, but admitted he is always hoping his contract is renewed because he is "only as good as" his last correct answer.

Shaun was quoted by the Daily Star newspaper's Hot TV column as saying: "Hopefully, once my contract ends, they will renew it.

"I don't take that for granted. I am only as good as the last question I've answered correctly!"

Away from 'The Chase', Shaun has held a career as a barrister for more than 30 years and recently explained that while other Chasers have taken on reality TV appearances, he is not that "type of guy".

He said: "I do get the offers but I'm not a reality type of guy. I still practise as a barrister and there is a limit to what I will do.

"The last reality-type challenge I did was 'Don't Rock The Boat', and that was a physical challenge where myself and seven other celebs rowed the length of Britain.

"I'll do something like that but any other type of reality show is not really for me. If 'Celebrity SAS' asked me five years ago I probably would have done it but not with my knees now. Yes, people recognise who I am - I can't help that fact - but I can't use my fame to get a required result. I can't change the evidence.

"I've been a barrister for 38 years, a Chaser for 13 years."
