Shaun White Shakes His Booty in “Vampire Diaries” Merch for Girlfriend Nina Dobrev as She Recovers from Bike Accident

"Life looks a lil different lately," wrote Dobrev in her latest health update

Shaun White is helping keep a smile on Nina Dobrev's face as she recovers from a bike accident.

Two weeks after announcing that she's on a "long road of recovery," Dobrev, 35, provided a health update in an Instagram post that included a hilarious video of her boyfriend, 37, dancing in a white The Vampire Diaries sweater.

The sweater had her character Elena Gilbert's name embroidered in large, black letters with colorful outlines of her face.

White wore the sweater with gray shorts and a matching baseball cap as he danced and shook his booty, causing Dobrey to giggle and say, "You're out of your mind, and I love it!"

The Sunday, June 2, post also included photos of Dobrev wearing a face mask as she rested her legs, a selfie of her holding on to crutches, and a photo of her view from bed.

"•life looks a lil different lately• trading in the 'selfie' for the 'leggie'. get ready for the leg content because that’s all I’ve got in my camera roll these days 😂🙏🏼," wrote Dobrev in the caption.

She and White officially met in late 2019 and became Instagram official a year later.

White revealed in an April 2022 TikTok that he watched The Vampire Diaries for the first time after the two were kept apart due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"You know, it was just funny because Nina was shooting a movie in Canada, and I wasn't allowed to get into Canada — it was during quarantine. I wasn't gonna see her for like three months," he said. "I thought, 'Oh this will be cool. I'll start the show.' Like, I'll kind of see her without seeing her. And, it was cool, but it got a little dark."

Another way they've kept connected throughout their four-year romance is by taking turns planning date nights.

“In general, I'm more of a planner in life. Yeah, I like a schedule and I like a plan for sure. I'm a Capricorn so that's very much part of my personality," Dobrev told PEOPLE in January. "But, we implemented something, I think, it's really cool. We do date night every week and we alternate [planning]."

"So, one week I'll plan it and he won't have any idea what we're doing so it's a surprise for him. And then the following week, he'll plan and it'll be a complete surprise for me," continued Dobrev. "And we do that every single week."
