Rebekah Vardy is said to be at the top of 'Celebrity Big Brother' bosses' wanted list.

ITV confirmed last week that the celebrity version of the reality TV show will make a comeback next year, and producers are hoping to land their number one target Rebekah.

A TV insider told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "Rebekah is the show’s No1 target, there’s no getting away from it.

"Bosses know she’ll be perfect fodder for the show and that she won’t hold back on saying what she thinks."

Producers believe former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' star Rebekah will be "TV gold", especially if she talks about and Coleen and Wayne Rooney.

Coleen, 37, was sued for libel by ex-England footballer Jamie Vardy's wife Rebekah, 41, after she accused her of leaking details of her private life to the press, in a feud that was dubbed "Wagatha Christie" by the media.

But Coleen won the court case, and claimed she had always "stuck to [her] truth" and got the verdict she wanted in court.

The insider added: "They also hope she won’t be slow coming forward on saying how she feels about Coleen and husband Wayne.

"She will be TV gold."

In October 2022, Rebekah was ordered to pay £1.5 million towards Coleen's legal costs after their libel trial earlier that year.

Following Rebekah's 2017 stint on 'I'm A Celebrity', she competed on the 13th series of 'Dancing on Ice' in 2021.

Last week, ITV confirmed 'Celebrity Big Brother' will be back in 2024 - following the success of 'Big Brother' returning last month and airing on the channel for the first time - and it will be followed each night by 'Celebrity Big Brother: Late and Live', which will give viewers an additional hour of exclusive content.

Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning and Acquisitions and Controller, ITV2 and ITVBe, said: "The reception from our viewers to Big Brother's return has been fantastic. We're therefore thrilled to announce that we'll be bringing our very own celebrity edition to ITV1 and ITVX next year. Casting is underway to find a new batch of famous faces who are sure to provide more iconic and unmissable BB moments."
