The Shoe Surgeon Reimagines the Air Jordan 4 in Collaboration With the ‘All the Smoke’ Podcast and DraftKings

More from Footwear News

After retiring from the NBA in 2015 and 2017, respectfully, Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes found success with the “All the Smoke” podcast, which is part of the DraftKings Network. To celebrate their second act, Dominic “The Shoe Surgeon” Ciambrone created a special Air Jordan 4.

The shoe created for the NBA Champions by The Shoe Surgeon — which Ciambrone has recently been shortened to just Surgeon — is dressed using black and gray hues. Ciambrone executed the design using premium tumbled leather, reflective silver 3M hits, quilted mesh lining and embroidered logos on both the tongue tags and heel tabs. Also, the look features paint splatter on the midsole, as well as a “smoked out” Air unit.

The look also includes several nods to the series, such as the embroidered “10-21-19” on the upper near the heel, which is the date of the first “All the Smoke” episode. The podcast joined the DraftKings Network this year.

The Surgeon x DraftKings x “All the Smoke” Air Jordan 4 will not be for sale. However, people can get their hands on a pair by entering social media giveaways, with details shared on DraftKings and the “All the Smoke” handles beginning June 10.

Although this is the most recent collaboration between Surgeon and DraftKings, it’s not the first time they have worked together. For instance, Surgeon revealed the “Day 1” sneaker in December 2023 at the Halifax restaurant in Hoboken, N.J., alongside NBA icon — and vice president of Reebok Basketball — Allen Iverson. The look was a reimagined iteration of the Reebok Club C 85.
