The latest death of a cyclist who was killed on Saturday morning has increased calls for bicycle lanes on the road.

48-year-old Freddy Khoo was killed after a lorry hit him and two other cyclists at Loyang Avenue early on Saturday.

Letters from fellow cyclists are urging the government to set aside a 1.5-metre cycling lane on roads.

Motorists, however, are not all in favour of the proposal, which they say could end up endangering cyclists even more.
