Singapore has won its bid to host the 11th Asian Netball Championships (ANC) in 2018.

The news was announced by Netball Singapore – the national body for the sport – on Friday (5 August). The group said that Singapore pipped countries such as Sri Lanka and Pakistan to host the tournament.

Three-time ANC champions Singapore will not only be looking for another title but will also be trying to make it to Liverpool to play in the 2019 Netball World Cup, for which the ANC is a qualifying event.

The ANC 2018 will tentatively be held in September that year and will be the fourth time that the Republic hosts the championships.
