Janelle Brown doesn't know how Kody Brown can move forward with their kids.

On Sunday's installment of the Sister Wives: Look Back special, the mother of six of Kody's 18 children opened up about where his relationships with their sons stand. Throughout the season, Kody's strained relationship with sons Gabriel, 22, and Garrison, 24, has been highlighted as a big issue contributing to the end of his and Janelle's relationship.

Citing that she wanted Kody to talk to the boys to work out their differences, Janelle noted on Sunday that "the conversation still hasn’t happened."

Janelle did note that Kody "does have somewhat of a relationship with Garrison right now," though she added, "But there’s no reconciliation, really."

The pair also share Savanah, 18, Maddie, 27, Hunter, 25, and Logan, 28.

Speaking with PEOPLE in October, Sister Wives stars Janelle and Christine exclusively told PEOPLE that they remain hopeful their kids will reconcile with their ex amid the ongoing family rift.

“I believe it will come around and eventually they'll have [a] good relationship with their dad again,” Christine, 51, said. “I have to believe that.”

“It was really difficult to still want them to have a great relationship with their dad,” Christine later acknowledged. “And I still push for them to have a great relationship with their dad. I think it's super, super, super important. And I always want to back them up with having a good relationship with him. And I do believe it will come around.”

In an episode that aired earlier last year, Janelle reflected on how the children’s relationship with Kody has changed as they grew older.

"I can observe that Kody seems to have trouble relating to his older children and he seems to dote on the younger children. And when my children were younger, it was very easy for him to be a father, right, because he was still kind of this important [figure],” she explained.

She continued, “He was important to them. His opinion mattered to them, his guidance mattered to them. And now, because they question a little bit, I think it might be harder for Kody to feel like he's respected."

Three of Kody's marriages imploded within 14 months. Christine was the first to leave in November 2021. A year later in December 2022, it was revealed that he had separated from Janelle. A month after that, his broken union with Meri was confirmed in January after they'd been platonic and distant for years. Robyn is his only remaining wife.
