SMRT to extend train and bus services on Chinese New Year's eve

The North-South, East-West, Circle and Thomson-East Coast Line will end later than usual

SINGAPORE — SMRT announced on Thursday (5 January) that its train services on the North-South Line, East-West Line, Circle Line and Thomson-East Coast Line will be extended for commuters travelling late during the eve of Chinese New Year on 21 January.

Here are the timings for the last train departures on Chinese New Year's eve:

  • North-South and East-West Lines - terminating at Jurong East: 2.09am Marina South Pier: 1.54am Pasir Ris: 2.14am Tuas Link: 1.59am.

  • Circle Line - terminating at HarbourFront: 1.28am Terminating at Dhobu Ghaut: 1.15am

  • Thomson-East Coast Line, terminating at Gardens by the Bay: 1.35am Terminating at Woodlands North: 1.58am.

There will be no extension for Bukit Panjang LRT service and Changi Airport service, SMRT said.

In addition to the extension of train services, the operating hours of the following SMRT-operated bus services will also be extended:

  • Chua Chu Kang: 300, 301, 302, 307, 983A (3.20am)

  • Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub: 901, 911, 912A, 912B, 913 (3.05am)

  • Bukit Panjang: 920, 922, 973A (3.10am)
