Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have reached a temporary agreement regarding the custody of their children.

The pair announced last month that they would divorce after four years of marriage, with Turner subsequently suing Jonas for wrongful retention as she alleged that he had withheld their daughters' passports.

As reported by PEOPLE, the former couple have now reached an interim agreement running through to early 2024, which will see their two young daughters split their time with each parent.

Turner will reportedly have custody of the children from October 9-21, with Jonas taking care of them from October 21 until November 2. The details of each arrangement allow for travel across the US and into England, Turner's home country.

The children will be back with Turner from November 2-22 and December 16 to January 7, with Jonas having custody from November 22 until December 16.

Past these dates, the agreement states that the couple must submit a status report letter by December 23, with the contents including an outline of their level of mediation at that time.

Jonas initially filed for divorce on September 5, with the filing stating that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken". Turner, who has appeared in Game of Thrones and X-Men, released a statement the following day, saying the divorce was a mutual decision.

"After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to end our marriage," read the statement. "There are many speculative narratives as to why but, this is truly a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

Jonas, a member of The Jonas Brothers alongside siblings Nick and Kevin, acknowledged the divorce at a recent performance, saying: "It's been a crazy week. I just want to say, look: If you don't hear it from these lips, don't believe it. Okay? Thank you, everyone, for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys."
