Peter Parker must be really freaking talented with a needle and thread. Sure, he's a boy genius who's been bitten by a radioactive spider, but the part everyone overlooks about Spidey's origin story is his Spandex-y wonder of a suit: How did this teenage photographer make such a slimming, aerodynamic wonder that he can get in and out of in seconds?

It's a question we immediately asked ourselves after trying to pipe intricate chocolate spiderwebs on fruit. (That, followed by, who the heck would spend 20 minutes frosting a single strawberry or apple slice?!) Thankfully, the latest Spider-Man reboot - Spider-Man: Homecoming, out this Friday - offers a workaround. Based on the previews, it seems like Parker's suit wasn't his own design but Iron Man Tony Stark's. That's more plausible, given the whole eccentric-billionaire part of his persona.

For the rest of us, we have to make due with our own non-wealthy, total amateur skill set, so we radically scaled back our Spider-Man treats so that anyone could make them in seconds, kids included. (If you're into more OTT snacks, it turns out our Spider-Man-inspired strawberries are hardly revolutionary. Pinterest is full of twists on the concept.)

These are the perfect two-minute treat for any kids' party, provided you cut the tops off the berries yourself (or give the kids plastic butter knives). They draw on the eyes, line them, and just when they get bored of craft time, the snack's already made. And if they fail at making them? Eat them. There is no downside here.

Store-bought vanilla frosting's the real time-saver here: Microwave it for 5 seconds (really, that's it!), give it a stir, and it's easy to swipe on the berries. You could use white chocolate or Candy Melts too, but frosting was the easiest to stick to the fruit - and there's no risk of it seizing and turning gritty, like white chocolate.

You don't have to stop at this simple design though: Stick them on top of cupcakes, make Spider-Man Shortcakes, or - if your crew's over 21 - soak them in booze to make Drunken Spideys.
