The highlights of SSB 2015 initiatives include implementing eco-smart towns where smart technology and eco-friendly features are embedded into towns and homes. Singapore also aims to be a Zero Waste Nation by reducing our consumption, and reusing and recycling all materials.
Additionally, businesses will be encouraged to adopt greener practices, as the city-state aims to be a hub for the cutting-edge business of sustainable development.

The SSB was first released in 2009, and it maps out strategies for Singapores sustainable development. According to the government, Singapore is on track to meet or exceed the 2020 and 2030 targets set out in 2009.
