SPY x FAMILY season two has confirmed its episode count in an announcement on the show's website listing its home entertainment release date.

The DVDs and Blu-rays for season two are being collected into three volumes, with the product description of the third and final volume including up to episode 37.

SPY x FAMILY season two's premiere was episode 26 overall, which means the second outing will consist of 12 episodes - fewer than half the number of episodes in the first season.

Based on Tatsuya Endo's manga, the show follows a spy who, as part of his cover for an undercover mission, gets married and adopts a child. Meanwhile, his new wife and their daughter have secrets of their own. The new family tries to stick together throughout it all.

The manga was first adapted into an anime series last year, with 25 episodes airing over two separate segments. The first 12 episodes aired from April to June 2022 while the second batch, consisting of 13 episodes, aired from October to December.

Despite the limited episode count fans still have plenty to look forward to in the second season, particularly as the trailer teased a romance between Loid and Yor.

The show also released its opening credits ahead of airing time, too, with visuals created by anime legend Masaaki Yuasa (Inu-Oh, Mind Game).

The show also released a teaser for its upcoming spin-off movie CODE: White, as well as an adorable poster paying homage to Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1.

SPY x FAMILY is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
