Stephy Tang denies secret marriage
12 Aug – Stephy Tang recently debunked rumours about her secret wedding with her boyfriend of seven years, singer Alex Fong.
According to Sina, it was previously reported that the lovebirds have held a low-key wedding in Okinawa, Japan in July, following in actors Ekin Cheng and Yoyo Mung's example.
To avoid the paparazzi, sources claimed that the two only invited close friends and not even family members, which upset Alex's father when he learned about the wedding. As a result, the singer will allegedly hold an official ceremony in Hong Kong at the end of this year to appease their parents.
However, Stephy, who made an appearance at a fundraiser held in Central on 9 August, dismissed such rumours and joked, "After Maldives, England and a hotel in Hong Kong, Alex and I have been secretly married four times already we were to listen to rumours. I will announce my wedding when the time comes, don't worry."
When asked about her dream wedding getaway, Stephy said that Okinawa will not be her choice, and added, "I would choose Maldives, where it is far away with less people around; a place with sunshine and beaches. I think that will be very romantic."
