Netflix has released the first trailer for Beef, a new TV series starring The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun and Big Mouth's Ali Wong.

Created by former It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia writer Lee Sung Jin, Beef follows two strangers whose lives descend into chaos after they get into a road-rage incident.

Yeun plays Danny Cho, a hostile contractor who's struggling with both work and life, while Wong plays a seemingly perfect, self-made entrepreneur named Amy Lau.

The new trailer introduces us to Danny and Amy, who both seem to be pretty fed up with their lives.

"I’ve been hustling my whole life… and look where it’s gotten me," says Danny, while Amy tells us that she just wants it all to "stop".

It's not long before the frustrated pair run – or rather drive – into one another, setting in motion their elaborate plans for revenge and revealing all of their darkest impulses.

"I have a very full life I'd like to get back to, but I'm gonna find you and take what little you have," says Amy, who later adds: "I would love to let this go, but actions have consequences."

And it doesn't look like either party are willing to let this incident go, as our leading duo take their anger out on pretty much everything, from phones and bins, to "European oak floors".

Aside from Yeun and Wong, Beef also stars Joseph Lee (Star Trek: Picard), Young Mazino (New Amsterdam), Maria Bello (Grown Ups), Ashley Park (Emily in Paris), Mia Serafino (iCarly), Remy Holt (1923) and Justin H Min (The Umbrella Academy).

Beef will be available to stream on Netflix from April 6.
