Streamy Awards 2023 Scores Record-Breaking 15 Million Views

The 2023 Streamy Awards amassed 15 million views across all digital platforms in its first 48 hours, setting a record as the most-watched show in the event’s 13-year history. The awards ceremony took place on Aug. 27 in Los Angeles.

This year’s Streamy Awards, hosted by YouTube star MatPat, broke the show’s 2021 record of 9.7 million views and more than doubled the average show viewership — 6.4 million views — across the 2020-2022 shows. Top performing video on demand clips included Dylan Mulvaney’s acceptance speech for breakout creator, MatPat’s Eras tour monologue, Mikayla Nogueira’s acceptance speech for beauty and Kai Cenat’s acceptance speech for his second consecutive Streamer of the Year.

The awards show was streamed live on MatPat’s “The Game Theorists” YouTube channel as well as distributed by Harmony, Variety parent Penske Media Corp.’s live streaming platform.

Other notable moments at the ceremony included performances by rapper Armani White and Swedish dance-pop duo Icona Pop. The nonprofit organization Invisible People received the Elevate Prize Get Loud Award for Social Good for its coverage of the critical need to systemic solutions to end homelessness.

The presenters at the 13th Streamy Awards included Anna Sitar, Austin Creed, Brianna Chickenfry, Chris Olsen, Colin and Samir, Delaney Rowe, Dream, Drew Afualo, Mulvaney, Enola Bedard, Happy Kelli, Jay Shetty, Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld of The Try Guys, Kris Collins, Link Neal, Lizzy McAlpine, Michelle Khare, Pinkydoll, Ryan Trahan, Smosh, Supercar Blondie, Tana Mongeau, Xqc, Yoolwxnder and Zelina Vega.

The Streamy Awards are produced by Tubefilter and Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Corp.
