Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas has pulled out of It Takes Two just one day before the live show due to illness.

Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star Adam was set to appear on tonight's (October 27) edition of the spin-off show, however, host Fleur East revealed that he hadn't been able to make it as he was still feeling "under the weather."

"Unfortunately, Adam's feeling a bit under the weather. But please welcome the lovely Luba," she said.

Fleur was then joined by Adam's professional partner Luba Mushtuk who gave an update on how the actor was feeling.

Luba then revealed that it felt "strange" to be on the sofa without her partner, telling Fleur: "It's so strange to be here by myself."

Luba then provided an update on the actor's condition, reassuring fans that he was resting and would be "fine" for Saturday's live show.

"He is resting now, he just hasn't felt very well, but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night so everything will be fine," the dancer said.

"Take all the rest you need, Adam, we love you," Fleur replied.

Last week's live show saw Adam and Luba perform a couple's choice routine to a medley of Backstreet Boys tracks, which scored a strong 32 points from the judges.

Reflecting on their performance and Adam's "nerves" about dancing solo, Luba said: "I think it was a fantastic dance, I do know that Adam much prefers to dance with me... he's a very happy man coming back to ballroom this time around."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
